Since moving to his present home in 1980, Peter has worked from a studio in the yard and has produced a lot of very good work from here. Recently, however, with the expansion of the stud and the ever increasing demands from the office he has found it harder and harder to focus on his work and for a number of years he has been keen to have a studio slightly removed from the main residence.

A couple of years ago, he and Louise were lucky enough to acquire an old farmhouse a short walk across the fields from Skehanagh. Having converted the house into a state of the art studio, Peter has now moved in and is already producing exciting new work from his new base. The new studio offers much more space and Peter is convinced this will help him in working on the bigger canvases he enjoys so much.

The whole house has been gutted and there is now a gallery area where Peter can work in better light on his watercolours. The main part of the building is now the studio proper and with such a high ceiling and a chance to get well back from his work, Peter is very excited about the new potential this offers. Peace and quiet are the two main things an artist needs and in his new studio he will find plenty of these commodities.
